PARK LOKOBE NATURAL RESERVE
Overview
We will Start our trip by going by car until Ambatozavavy ( fishing village). As soon as we arrive there, we will take digout canoe or traditional boat, then enjoy paddling to reach that Park. We will firstly birdwatch and see a lot of lemurs, Boa constrictor, flore and the world’s smallest lemur, and unwind by swimming in the Waterfall. We’ll have lunch there.
The Lokobe Nature Reserve is particularly renowned for its endemic wildlife, including the iconic black lemur (Eulemur macaco), which serves as a symbol of the region. The park is home to numerous species of reptiles, amphibians, and rare birds. Visitors often spot colorful frogs, non-venomous snakes, and chameleons during their excursions in this lush forest.
In addition to its fascinating fauna, Lokobe is a treasure trove of flora, featuring medicinal trees and plants, some of which are endemic to Madagascar. The park can be explored on foot via guided trails, providing an immersive experience in the wild, or by canoe, as part of the reserve is accessible through its winding waterways.
